RONA partners with Les Éperviers de Sorel hockey club
The organization signs a $150,000 materials sponsorship to build four additional suites at Colisée Cardin
Boucherville, Québec, August 26, 2024 – RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating and servicing some 425 corporate and affiliated stores, announces the signing of a partnership with Les Éperviers de Sorel hockey club. In the form of a materials sponsorship worth $150,000, this partnership will enable the construction of four additional suites at Colisée Cardin, which will be ready in time for the hockey season opener on October 11, 2024.
The new suites will provide additional seating for the club’s fans and hockey lovers in the town of Sorel. Each suite will have 25 seats and will be named the RONA Suite for five years. A giant backlit 3D RONA logo will be erected in front of the Colisée Cardin suites’ section.
“I’m delighted to count RONA as a partner. Not only does this partnership allow us to build new suites, something we’ve been wanting to do for a long time, it also helps fuel the Sorel community’s excitement as the hockey season approaches,” says Christian Deschênes, shareholder and General Manager, Les Éperviers de Sorel Hockey Club.
“I’m very proud of this partnership, as it allows RONA to get involved in this community that loves hockey. At RONA, our mission is to empower communities to build their homes and dreams. Sometimes it comes down to the way we serve our customers in store, and other times it’s about the impact we can have on our neighbours’ lives by supporting local initiatives,” says Catherine Laporte, Senior Vice-President, Marketing and Customer Experience at RONA inc.
