RONA Forget Mont-Tremblant receives Retail Spirit Award at Outstanding Retailer Awards Gala
Boucherville, Québec, October 23, 2024 – RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating and servicing some 425 corporate and affiliated stores under different banners, congratulates RONA Forget Mont-Tremblant on taking home the Retail Spirit Award at the 2024 Outstanding Retailer Awards (ORA). The awards gala took place on October 22 at the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu, as part of Hardlines’ 28th annual conference.
Benoit Forget, store manager and co-owner, accepted this prestigious award with pride and gratitude. “For five generations, our mission has always been to develop our offering and create an unrivalled customer experience,” he says. “I’m very proud of our entire team’s work, and I thank them for their constant commitment to our shared success.”
At the award ceremony, the Hardlines judges praised the management team for their leadership and their people-first approach to daily store management. Thanks to this approach, RONA Forget Mont-Tremblant has not only won local shoppers’ loyalty, but also created a stimulating work environment for its employees.
The “Retail Spirit Award” recognizes the entrepreneurial spirit and sense of innovation of recipients, who have created special bonds with their customers and their community, over and above purely commercial indicators.
“The Retail Spirit Award goes to a store which best exemplifies the spirit of courage, dedication, and determination that inspires truly great entrepreneurs. RONA Forget is simply outstanding in all these criteria. Our judges were highly impressed by this entry, from the joyful entrepreneurialism of the Forget family to the dedication of the store to its community. Top marks, all around,” mentioned Michael McLarney, president of Hardlines, which presents the annual Outstanding Retailer Awards for the home improvement industry.
