AMS Building Centre in Haïda Gwaïi joins RONA affiliated dealer network

Boucherville, QC, August 7, 2024 – RONA inc., one of Canada’s leading home improvement retailers operating and servicing some 425 corporate and affiliated stores, welcomes AMS Building Centre to its network of RONA affiliated dealers. The group operates a building centre located in Haïda Gwaïi (BC), which will be switching from Ace to the RONA banner.

An investment to expand the store’s product offering

RONA Haïda Gwaïi currently operates a retail space of 5,000 sq.ft. and a lumber yard of 2.5 acres. As part of his growth plan, Goetzinger will be investing into his business to expand the store’s retail footprint and operations in the near future. The store at present will be slightly revamped, and its merchandising strategy redefined in order to offer over 350 new products in multiple categories such as flooring, paint, storage, seasonal, back yarding, hardware and building materials.

At the heart of the community for over 35 years

AMS Building Centre has been serving the community of Haïda Gwaïi for over 35 years, helping the local population to build, renovate and repair their homes as well as responding to the needs of industry professionals with a wide range of construction supplies and equipment. Mark Goetzinger has worked alongside his parents over the years, helping grow and develop nearly every part of the business before assuming full ownership of the company this year. He is a well-known member of the Haïda Gwaïi community and has developed strong ties with the local population through his understanding of the Aboriginal Roots of the island and his support of local traditions.
